Victorian Fob & Watch Key Pendant

An elegant early Victorian bloodstone fob, together with a bloodstone and paste watch key, both suspended from an intricately engraved split ring. This delicate set is ready to wear as a pendant. Original and dynamic, both the fob and the watch key were purposeful objects. The bloodstone seal intaglio depicts an envelope under 'REPLY' and would have sealed a letter, perhaps marking the correspondence as a response. 

The swivel watch key is set with a bloodstone and a paste stone on the reverse. The split ring features ornate chased decoration.
