This exquisite Victorian fob is cast in 9ct rose gold and features a working compass. The reverse side is set with a rich red carnelian stone and is mounted in a bezel setting. Once a pocket watch instrument and adornment; now a striking pendant. The compass was a meaningful symbol for the Victorians of safety, protection, and guidance through life.
The compass fob bears hallmarks for Birmingham, 1896.
