Banded Agate Necklace

Our latest Fleur Fairfax transformation piece is a decorative banded agate and gold former brooch from the late 19th C. Re-imagined as a necklace on fixed gold chain, the design features 4 interlocking gold hoops, each inlaid with a section of banded agate. Ornamental engraving adorns the rings in contrasting design. The agate is grey blue and beautifully banded with striations of darker grey. 

Queen Victoria would often return from visits to Scotland with stones and jewellery as souvenirs, making agate the height of Victorian style.
